You can go through a lot of websites in a short amount of time. The websites don't need to have products similar to yours. You are just scanning to get some basic ideas.
What websites do you buy from online? What elements do they have that entice you to make a purchase? Are they good at featuring products? Do they make it easy to shop? Keep all of these things in mind when starting your design.
